Bickerton House Care home welcomed the D-Day Dollies for an afternoon of music.
As one of the most booked care and nursing home acts in the country, the ‘D-Day Dollies’ have become famous in their own right. From the VE-Day 75th celebrations in 2020 to the King’s Coronation in 2023, and hundreds of other special performances for towns and cities across the nation, the ‘D-Day Dollies’ have become famous ambassadors for their work.
The D-Day Dollies sparkling 50-minute sets of choreographed wartime favourites from the 1940’s, put a spring in the step and a song in the hearts of audiences both young and old. Including songs from the Andrews Sisters, Judy Garland, and the inimitable Dame Vera Lynn, plus many other vintage classics, the ‘Dollies’ setlist really is the soundtrack of an amazing generation.
A spokesman said: “They were a joy to have and we all joined in with some of the classics.”
