Scotland Eye Up WXV2 Title
Sports by My Bracknell report that Scotland will be unchanged as they take on Japan on Friday with the opportunity to win the inaugural WXV2 title.
Having already qualified for the final, Scotland need only a draw to secure the title, and manager Steve Clarke is confident his side can finish the job.
Clarke said: “We have had a great campaign so far and we have the chance to make it even better on Friday by winning the title. The players have been excellent all season and I’m sure they’ll be up to the task.”
A victory would be the first major trophy for Scotland since they won the European Championship in 1996. The team have been in superb form, winning their last five matches and scoring at least two goals in each game.
The match will take place at Hampden Park in Glasgow and is set to kick off at 7:45pm local time.
Clarke added: “It will be an incredible atmosphere at Hampden and we are looking forward to the challenge of Japan. We know it won’t be easy, but we are confident that we can get the job done and make history.”
