The project to transform Bracknell Leisure Centre, creating an improved spa, new soft play area and refurbished fitness studios, will start this month.

Everyone Active, which manages the centre on behalf of Bracknell Forest Council, has announced that the renovations will unfold in planned stages, with all improvements set for completion by mid-April.

The £1.9 million project, from a combined Everyone Active and Bracknell Forest Council capital fund, includes a brand-new soft play area for children and the refurbishment of two squash courts. Meanwhile, the addition of two new party rooms and seating area hopes to provide versatile spaces for birthdays and other celebrations.

The spa is set to undergo a transformation, achieving a high-spec finish along with a contemporary redecoration. During the temporary spa closure, members will have access to the spa at Coral Reef Waterworld.

Th existing spin studio will be updated and a brand new wellness studio will be added, introducing innovative fitness concepts to cater to different health goals within the community.

Mark Tennant, Contract Manager at Everyone Active, said:

These improvements mark a significant leap forward for Bracknell Leisure Centre, significantly transforming our offerings and addressing areas that were not part of the 2018 redevelopment.

“Thank you for bearing with us during the upcoming period of disruption. We look forward to seeing the local community take full advantage of the refurbishment and use these opportunities to keep active and improve their health.”

Cllr Iskandar Jefferies, Executive Member for Culture, Delivery and Public Protection, said:

“We are thrilled to announce the start of the revamp of Bracknell Leisure Centre. This investment not only reflects our commitment to enhancing local community facilities but also underscores our commitment to improving the health of our residents.

“The new state-of-the-art spa, vibrant soft play area for children, and refurbished fitness studios, are designed with our community in mind. We look forward to welcoming you into the improved centre in the spring.”

The pools and gym will remain unaffected during the works.
