Crowthorne Fire Station hosted a charity car wash to raise money for a worthy cause!
Crowthorne firefighters got in a lather washing cars recently with all donations going to The Firefighters Charity.
The event formed part of the National Car Wash League, a competition where fire stations across the UK compete against each other to wash as many cars as possible and raise as much money as possible.
The suggested minimum donation was £5 per car.
Car washes were held at Caversham Road, Crowthorne and Newbury Fire Stations, supported by on duty crews, the new Apprentice Firefighters and Fire Cadets. Collectively, over £3,600 was raised thanks to the generous.
A spokesman said: “A massive thank you to everyone who made the car washes held this month so successful.”
The Firefighters Charity exists to help all serving and retired members of the UK’s fire familyto live healthier and happier.
