Residents are invited to find out how to bolster their skills and development as part of Lifelong Learning Week.
Lifelong Learning Week runs from Monday 4th November and is a celebration of adult learning and all it can offer.
Local people can visit Bracknell Open Learning Centre during the week and explore the range of courses community learning can offer. Whether it’s boosting your wellbeing, tapping into your creativity with art, boosting your digital skills or improving skills for work, there’s something for everyone!
The week coincides with Number Confidence Week, dedicated to helping people overcome the anxiety and stress around numbers.
Community learning offers a relaxed maths club which runs every Monday during term time from 12 noon to 2pm at the Open Learning Centre. The club offers a supportive space to build confidence and improve maths skills without the stress of exams.
Pop in during the week and you could be in with a chance of winning a voucher for The Lexicon if you play ʽguess the amount of Legoʼ in the jar competition!
Roy Bailey, cabinet member for children and young people, said:
“Learning never stops, and building confidence with numbers opens doors in every part of life. Whether budgeting at home or advancing in a career, the skills we gain are invaluable.”
