This February half term, The Lexicon invites families on a thrilling pirate adventure from Friday 14th to Sunday 23rd February.
Visitors can join a fun-filled treasure hunt around Bracknell town centre, discovering 12 life-sized brick models, including the notorious Captain Blackbird, his shipmates and other hidden treasures along the way.
Pick up a treasure map at Princess Square or outside The Avenue car park to uncover the clues. Participants will also have the chance to win one of two £50 gift cards from The Lexicon.
For younger adventurers, swashbuckling 20-minute storytelling sessions will take place at Bracknell Forest Library for under fives, on Monday 17th February, at 10.30am and 2.15pm.
Fenwick and Waterstones will also be holding storytelling sessions, suitable for children aged eight and under, on Wednesday 19th and Friday 21st February at 10am, 12 noon and 2pm.
Creative explorers can visit the Pirate Brick Zone in Princess Square (next to Starbucks) on Tuesday 18th, Thursday 20th, and Saturday 22th February. Children can drop in to craft their own pirate props and accessories between 10am and 5pm.
Sue Boor, Head of Marketing at The Lexicon, said: “It’s a great week of activities and what’s even better, is that it’s all free! We hope visitors will embrace the theme and have fun in the town centre while shopping or dining.”
