Bracknell Mayor Jenny Penfold was among those celebrating the £50,000 refurbishment of the Bracknell Specsavers store. The store, located in The Lexicon shopping complex, has reopened its doors after it had closed for work on the expansion.
Work will continue until Tuesday 11th February, while the store is still open, and once finished the store will have been completely redecorated, and include brand-new illuminated frame displays.
The ophthalmic director, Harvinder Sembi, says: “This project has been in the works for some time but we are very happy with how the store looks and can’t wait to share it with people in Bracknell.”
The Bracknell store opened in 1992 and the team has a combined experience of over 60 years. Just last year it carried out over 24,000 sight tests.
The dispensing director, Gary Parker, says: “It has been amazing to help the people of Bracknell, and we are sure our customers will love the redecoration as much as we do.”
Anyone unable to visit the Specsavers Bracknell store unaccompanied due to disability or illness may be eligible to receive care at home via a team of mobile opticians.
