Bracknell Mayors recently joined the local community for a ‘Resilience and Remembrance’ event in support of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian community in Bracknell came together on Saturday, February 22, for a heartfelt event, ‘Resilience and Remembrance: 3 Years of Courage’ honouring Ukraine’s ongoing struggle and raising funds for vital support efforts.
The event, organized by VSI Razom Ukrainian Community, was attended by and featured talks by both Bracknell mayors, along with family, friends, and dedicated supporters of the cause. Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed a vibrant showcase of Ukrainian culture, including the wonderful traditional clothing worn by women, men and children.
A highlight of the evening was the special concert, featuring a moving performance by the Ukrainian choir Kryla. Attendees were also treated to delicious, authentic Ukrainian food, which was enjoyed by all.
The gathering served as a powerful display of solidarity with Ukrainian cuisine featuring traditional dishes, creative workshops for children and Ukrainian souvenirs.
