A bracknell-based performer is part of the group representing the UK in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
Artemis College is proud that their deputy head teacher, Charlotte Steele, has been selected to represent the United Kingdom as part of her band, Remember Monday.
The college, based at South Hill Park Arts Centre, is a vocational, full-time, free training centre for performers aged 16-18. As an RSL Exam Board Champion Centre, they are committed to excellence in performing and cheer arts education, with their graduates securing places at leading drama and dance conservatoires, universities, and starring in the West End, film, and television. The college, where Charlotte is deputy head, is part of Artemis Studios, a Bracknell-based registered charity that has been offering exceptional performing and sports arts training for people aged four to adult for the past 18 years.
Charlotte is a popular teacher who has been with Artemis since 2018 when they founded the college and she has played a crucial role in shaping it to the school it is today as well as their teen theatre company Medusa. This year, as they celebrate their 18th anniversary, Charlotte’s incredible Eurovision journey makes this milestone even more special. The students and staff couldn’t be more excited to cheer her on!
Rosie Hill, Principal of Artemis College, said: “Charlotte is a friend as well as a colleague, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to watch her take this next exciting step in her career. Over the past few years, we have seen her perform on huge tours in the United States, take the stage at the O2, and even achieve a number one single in the UK country music charts. She is living proof for her students that hard work and talent can take you far!”
