This February half-term, The Lexicon will host a series of ‘create-your-own’ cartoon workshops, a gnawsome trail, and interactive fart-filled joke boxes featuring characters from the iconic Beano comic.
Saturday 10th February
The Beano team will be heading to Princess Square at The Lexicon bringing awesome giveaways, fart-based games, and a special £1 subscription offer created especially for the event.
Saturday 10th February to Sunday 18th February
Visitors can win blamtastic prize bundles by completing the Gnasher Trail. Everyone’s favourite hound will be hiding in retailer windows around the town centre causing mischief.
Families are invited to follow the trail to find Gnasher and complete the comic-strip themed trail sheet by finding the punchlines to classic Beano jokes hidden around the town.
Everyone that hands in a completed trail leaflet to the team at Craft Coop (opposite Specsavers), in Princess Square, will be given a free Beano comic, while stocks last.
Gnasher trail leaflets can be found in participating retailers and from in the leaflets stands in Princess Square and The Avenue.
Monday 12th February to Friday 16th February
There is the amazing opportunity for mini menaces to create their own comic character at a brand new Create with Beano workshop in Princess Square.
The 30-minute interactive workshops, suitable for children aged between six to 12-years-old, will be filled with whoopee cushion laughs and creative play.
Places are limited, so while the workshops are FREE places must to be booked in advance – no walk-ins will be accepted.
Also in Princess Square, there will be an array of Beano-themed interactive joke boxes for kids to enjoy and daily activity sheets which can be taken away and completed at home.
