It was a day of celebration across Bracknell Forest, as students received their final Key Stage 5 grades. This year’s outcomes reflect the extraordinary dedication, resilience and hard work of students, teachers and families alike.
Early indications suggest that the overall A-level pass rate in Bracknell Forest Council’s schools will be above the national average pass rate reported as 97.5%.
This cohort of students has shown resilience and determination having experienced disruption to their learning during their GCSE years. As with last year’s results, marks have returned to a grade distribution more in line with that prior to the pandemic. For that reason, comparisons with the previous 3 years’ results should not be made.
The priority this summer, as ever, is to celebrate the success of our young people, and provide the support that each of them needs as they embark on the next phase of their lives, whether in higher education, apprenticeships, or the workforce.
Grainne Siggins, Executive Director People, said:
“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to each and every student for their accomplishments. This year’s results stand as a testament to the collective effort of our educational community. They highlight both the commitment of our schools to providing high-quality education and the students’ determination to succeed.’’
Cllr Roy Bailey, Executive Member for Children and Young People, said:
“It is a pleasure to be able to congratulate our young people. We are proud of all the achievements they have secured over their Key Stage 5 study, and for the positive attitudes and determination they have shown.
“As they prepare to move on to the next phase of their lives, we know they will approach these new opportunities with the same commitment they have shown during Key Stage 5. I wish them every future success.”
