A dance school in Bracknell is supporting its talented children by sponsoring them in a 12-hour dancethon.
Dancexite is a street dance school based at The Wayz, Calfridus Way, Bracknell, RG12 9ET. They provide street dance, freestyle and choreography classes for dancers of all ages and abilities. Their dancers attend competitions, battles and festivals across the UK and they also provide workshops and events for the local community. Their vision is to create a platform for everyone to express themselves through dance.
The school is supported by an amazing network of dance professionals who are well-established teachers committed to the growth of the school and the support of founder Lowri. Lowri has created a truly inclusive dance school that all are proud to belong to!
She said: “Over the last 12 months, students have shown enthusiasm, passion, determination, teamwork and resilience working extremely hard to qualify for the GDO World Street Dance Championships, which is being held in December this year.
This 12-hour dance-a-thon is being organised to provide support for the Dancexite families to attend the championships.
“We have a firm understanding of the difficulties brought about by the cost of living crisis and increasing ticket costs leading to families struggling to attend the amazing events that are held. This is why we are asking for help to give all children the opportunity to feel like a full part of our Dancexite family.”
As well as inspiring younger dancers, Dancexite provides opportunities to the older more experienced dancers by encouraging them to teach classes within both group and individual lesson settings. This supports their development in key life skills which include leadership, creativity and communication.
The dancethon is taking place at Marnel Junior School in Basingstoke on Saturday 26th October. To support them, visit https://www.gofundme.com/f/dancexite-danceathon
