Bracknell Forest Council has appointed The Propeller Academy Trust to run the new Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) school in Bracknell Forest.
The old Warfield Primary School on the All Saints site in Warfield, will be renovated to provide a new free school. It will provide the necessary facilities for all the children’s needs.
There will be a phased opening of the school, with the first group of 10 pupils starting temporarily at the College Hall site in September 2025. They will then move to the Warfield site once the renovations are complete.
Grainne Siggins, Executive Director of People, said:
“The Propeller Academy has a proven track record in successfully running special schools. We are confident they will offer the best possible education at the All Saints Warfield site, as well as the new free school for autistic pupils they will be running in Buckler’s Park. These new schools will increase the capacity for our pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within the borough and allow more children and young people to access education locally.”
Tom Pegler, Chief Executive officer of The Propeller Trust, said:
“We are thrilled to be working with Bracknell Forest Council on both new schools in the borough. Making sure that all children have access to the right education in the right place is paramount to us. We are looking forward to welcoming the first cohort of pupils this year and are working hard to create the best environment for them to thrive.”
