A small corner of Crowthorne honoured Scotland when 50 visitors at COATS celebrated Burns Night.
The day centre in Pinewood Avenue served a lunch of beef stew with a taste of haggis followed by a traditional Scottish desert of cranachan.
Niall Mackinnon called in to do an animated address to the haggis which had been paraded around the tables by their Scottish cook Isabel. The day was rounded off by a display of Scottish country dancing by the St.John’s Scottish Country dancing club.
COATS is a local charity set up in 1966 to provide a centre to meet and socialise for the local senior community.
