Bracknell Town Council’s annual Teddy Bears’ Picnic, held on Wednesday 10th July at Great Hollands
Pavilion, was a resounding success, drawing a great turnout of local families despite the grey clouds!
The free event, targeted at children under five, offered a variety of engaging activities and useful
information for parents and families such as a petting farm, giant bubbles and basketball. This year’s
event included the introduction of a sensory room inside the pavilion providing a quiet play space,
which proved to be a giant success among attendees.
Bracknell Town Mayor, Councillor Elizabeth Mary Baker, who visited all the stalls, commented: “It was
wonderful to see so many families enjoying themselves. The petting farm with its adorable baby
bunnies was a particular hit, and the new sensory room was an excellent addition to our event.”
The Teddy Bears’ Picnic featured numerous free activities for young children, complemented by
informative resources for parents from the brilliant teams at Bracknell Forest Council. Attendees also
enjoyed delicious pizza provided by local vendor Pizzaarti.
Bracknell’s Town Clerk said: “It’s events like these that really bring our community together. We’re already
looking forward to hosting more free, fun events for Bracknell residents in the coming months such as
the Summer of Fun events on August 7th at Great Hollands Pavilion and August 28th at Braybrooke Recreation Ground.”
Bracknell Town Council extends its gratitude to all participants, volunteers, and staff who contributed to
the event’s success. Residents are encouraged to check the Bracknell Town Council website and social
